Safety

While academics and student life tend to be the focus of freshman as they come to Clemson, nothing is more important than safety.  As a community Clemson is in a less populated area that is much safer than the neighborhood of most college campuses.  I have never felt unsafe walking on campus at night.  CUPD is always working to keep students safe.   Things happen everywhere no matter how infrequently.  Here are their tips on Crime Prevention.

Parent's Weekend

If you are planning to come visit your son or daughter here at Clemson there is no better time to do so than family weekend. You will have the chance to take in a Clemson home game and spend quality time with your son or daughter.  Clemson goes out of their way to ensure there are events and services to help aid parents in making the weekend as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.  Here is the page where family weekend information will be posted once available.  Clemson has a strong parent network I strongly encourage you to be actively involved in!

Redfern

Redfern is Clemson's on campus student health center with services from primary care to more specialized concerns like counseling and psychological services you do not have to worry about your child lacking access to medical care.  Redfern also has a on site pharmacy for student convenicne.  Staying healthy during the semester is crucial for students to do their best and the friendly staff at Redfern take that seriously.
